Lucy Morillo Receives South Florida Business Journal’s Influential Business Women Award
Lucy Morillo, Co-Founder and Principal of LMA Consultants, has been named to the South Florida Business Journal’s 2024 “Influential Business Women” list.
The annual Influential Business Women award spotlights 25 of South Florida's women executives who have a strong record of leadership, performance, and innovation in their industries, as well as meaningful community involvement. The honorees were recognized recently with a luncheon at Gulfstream Park in Hallandale Beach.
Morillo is an attorney, community leader, and serial entrepreneur with nearly 30 years of executive experience in the business, private equity, and nonprofit sectors. She currently leads the women-owned communications and consulting firm, providing support to socially conscious brands in a variety of industries. As a consultant to C-level executives, she shares her expertise in communications, management, transportation and the establishment of stakeholder engagement and sustainable ecosystems.

As an urban air mobility advisor, Morillo leverages her expertise to advocate for the integration of advance air mobility solutions in South Florida, utilizing a social business model that encourages public-private partnerships. Since 2023, Morillo has collaborated closely with local governments and key stakeholders to ensure that UAM solutions not only bring about positive change but also contribute to the well-being of the surrounding communities.
Morillo's influence extends to her roles on several industry and advisory boards, including the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) Advanced Air Mobility Advisory Committee (AAMAC), the International Aviation Women’s Association (IAWA), City of Miami Advance Air Mobility Committee, University of Miami MEAMI Advisory Board, and The Wings Club Foundation of New York. She also previously served on Embraer’s EVE Air Mobility’s Advisory Board. Additionally, Morillo served as President and CEO of UrbanX, a subsidiary of Miami-based Global Crossings Airlines Group, where she lent her experience to launch the project and position the company as an operator in the advanced air mobility space.
